Roles & Responsibilities
As Account Manager, you'll be responsible for winning new business and growing customer accounts through the sale of IT hardware, software, licensing, and packaged technology solutions to mid-market and enterprise clients.
- Identify, target, and win new clients across mid-market and enterprise segments.
- Own the end-to-end sales process from prospecting through to contract close and order fulfilment.
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and relationship development.
- Engage senior IT decision-makers, including CIOs, IT Directors, IT Managers, and procurement stakeholders.
- Develop strong relationships with customers to understand their technology requirements, purchasing cycles, and upcoming projects.
- Sell a broad portfolio of IT hardware, software, licensing, and technology packages from leading industry vendors.
- Work closely with vendor partners and distribution channels to identify opportunities, access pricing, and develop competitive customer proposals.
- Prepare and present commercial quotations, proposals, and solutions tailored to customer requirements and budgets.
- Manage the full commercial sales cycle, including pricing discussions, negotiations, order processing, and deal closure.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, account development, and cross-selling across hardware, software, and licensing portfolios.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on pipeline activity, sales performance, and revenue forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal sales support, procurement, and vendor teams to ensure a smooth customer experience from initial enquiry through to delivery.
Skills & Experience
- MUST have a minimum 2 year of B2B technology sales experience within an IT reseller, VAR, technology distributor, or hardware and software sales environment.
- Demonstrated track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
- Experience selling IT hardware, software, licensing, or packaged technology solutions.
- Experience engaging IT decision-makers, procurement teams, and other relevant customer stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of pricing, margins, quotations, and negotiating technology deals.
- Experience working with technology vendors, distributors, or partner programmes is desirable.
- Consultative and commercially focused sales approach with strong negotiation skills.
- Target-driven mindset with the ability to manage a full sales cycle independently.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify customer requirements and recommend relevant hardware, software, and licensing solutions.

- Base salary £40,000 - £45,000 with 10%-15% uncapped commission (OTE circa £70,000 in year one, rising to £125,000 in year two).
